Ken joined the firm upon his retirement in 2009 after 22 years as an investigator with the USDOL Wage and Hour Division. He has over 35 years of total government service. He served as the Wage & Hour Amish Child Labor (CL) and FLSA Coordinator and a Senior MSPA Investigator for the USDOL NE Region. Ken specializes in FLSA compliance, salaried exemption determinations, Section 14(c) commensurate wage compliance, chlid labor, SCA, PCA, & DBRA government contract compliance and Family & Medical Leave Act compliance. He regularly assists employers during Wage & Hour Division investigations, preparing the employer, interfacing with the investigator, negotiating visit dates and back wages, and providing corrective guidance following the investigation. Employers have praised his work assisting them with investigations.  Ken reviews the FLSA Section 14(c) Special Minimum Wage certificate applications and renewal applications, WH-226 and WH-226A, prior to submission to the certification office to ensure compliance, avoid back wage assessment and flagging of the employer for investigation.
